Kalimpong is another hill town located in the northern part of West Bengal. Kalimpong can be reached either from Siliguri or Darjeeling by road. Kalimpong is mainly visited to cherish the unique view of the Kanchenzonga.

The mangrove forest of Sunderban is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger. The forest is famous for different kinds of bird species, like Heron, Fishing Eagle, Egret, Seagul, Cormorant and Tern. The best time to visit the forest is from September to March.

Santiniketan is a place, where one can enjoy peace and tranquility of the nature. The place is also famous for Poush Mela, which is held every year in the month of December.

Travel to West Bengal is mostly preferred during September and October, when the state celebrates Durga Puja with much enthusiasm.
